Four realistic communication challenges
Missed deadlines, defensive reactions, difficult high performers, and sensitive conversations. Each employee has a distinct personality and hidden context learners uncover through active listening.
Difficult conversations. Meaningful practice.
An AI-powered workplace conversation simulator helping first-time managers balance empathy with accountability — before the real conversation.
New managers and first-time team leaders navigating feedback, performance concerns, and workplace conflict.

Real conversations are unpredictable. Managers need to listen, respond to emotions, and make decisions in the moment — not just recognize the correct multiple-choice answer.
Five short training modules connect essential communication principles with four open-ended employee simulations. Learners respond in their own words, receive personalized coaching, and revise their approach.
Missed deadlines, defensive reactions, difficult high performers, and sensitive conversations. Each employee has a distinct personality and hidden context learners uncover through active listening.
Learners type what they would actually say. The AI employee responds to their choices, creating opportunities to ask questions, adapt, and practice communication in context.
The coach evaluates seven competencies: clarity, specificity, empathy, active listening, curiosity, accountability, and actionability. It explains what worked, what could improve, and why — then invites revision.
Guided Mode offers reminders, hints, and immediate feedback. Practice Mode allows optional coaching. Challenge Mode ends with a performance review after an independent conversation.
Behind the Conversation reveals the employee's perspective. A reflection journal and learning dashboard help learners identify strengths and prepare for real workplace situations.
Five modules covering constructive feedback, SBI, active listening, empathy, and collaborative problem-solving.
Personalized corrective feedback and opportunities to rewrite responses and explore alternative conversational outcomes.
Reflection and conversation-planning tools support transfer from simulation to managerial responsibilities.
These are design outputs and intended outcomes. Learner performance results require prototype testing and evaluation.
Good training creates opportunities to practice a skill, not just understand it. This project reinforced my focus on what learners can actually do — and how feedback helps them improve.
